Scope of Works
Demolition and removal of existing balcony tiles, screeds and failed waterproofing systems.
Removal and disposal of all non-compliant balcony balustrades.
Careful removal of four courses of brickwork to facilitate the installation of a new cavity sheet membrane and compliant cavity flashing system.
Installation of a new high-performance sheet waterproofing membrane to all balcony areas.
Construction of new engineered screeds to achieve compliant falls to drainage.
Supply and installation of new external-grade tiled finishes.
Supply and installation of new powder-coated aluminium balustrades compliant with current Australian Standards.
Structural crack repairs using epoxy crack injection and stainless-steel brick stitching techniques.
Concrete spalling repairs, including reinforcement treatment, concrete reinstatement and protective coatings.
Reinstatement of brickwork, sealant replacement and associated finishing works.
Outcome
The completed works resolved long-standing waterproofing and structural defects, restored the integrity of the building envelope, and significantly improved the safety, durability and appearance of the property. By combining specialist remedial construction techniques with high-quality materials.
